Why did I choose my career?

I study forestry engineering because since I was 16 years old I decided to study a career that did not involve being confined within four walls, on the contrary, that is related to nature and working in the field. At the age of 18 I applied to the university and as a first option to the career that I am now because I was very curious about the field practices, then tourism and finally marine biology. 

When I was a child I wanted to be a veterinarian because I really liked animals, so working in a zoo was my dream, but now it is what I would never do because I am not in favor of keeping them locked up.

My experience at the university has been beautiful because I like it very much and complicated because of the demands.

iNaturalist (https://www.inaturalist.org/) is an app and website that provides a place to record and organize nature finds, meet other nature enthusiasts, and learn about the natural world. It is also a joint initiative of the California Academy of Sciences and the National Geographic Society. I started using it in the pandemic, but I don't remember how I knew of its existence haha. I love white beans!!!

 I really like white beans, in all their possible forms hahaha, it is difficult for me to choose just one dish knowing that it is a very versatile and tasty legume.  I don't know if I have tried all possible preparations with beans, but the ones I have tried are beans with rein, beans with mazamorra, bean salad, bean cream, bean hummus and bean burger. I love all of these dishes equally. Beans and actually, all legumes, are my source of protein because I am vegan for three years and before deciding to stop eating any food of animal origin, I was always picky about meat, in fact when I was little I remember that my parents forced me to eat it because according to them I would not have strength if I did not eat it, I do not blame them, they are from another education. So to my health white beans affect me in a positive way because they are one of the legumes that provide me with proteins, besides containing other micronutrients such as iron, potassium, magnesium, zinc and phosphorus.

My Biography

Francisca was born in Santiago of Chile and lives exactly in Maipú, for as long as she can remember. She studied at high school Ignacio Carrera Pinto in the town of Independencia where her mom works as secretary of the anesthesia ward in the Hospital Clínico of Universidad of Chile. In this high school, also studied the  Francisca's older sisters, their names are María Paz and Valentina. Then, her fathers decided change of school for a closer one to your house, names Terraustral del Sol where Francisca was from sixth to eighth grade and again she moved of school because she was going down her ratings. Her last school was the Liceo Bicentenario of niñas of Maipú where she graduated from high school. Currently, she is 21 years old and is a forest engineering student at the University of Chile. His father´s name is  Mario and he's a foreign trade professional who works at ICB, a leading distribution company for global food brans in Chile and manufacturers of well-known national br
